We will do everything in our power at a local level to improve the lives of the people but we accept Councils’ can only do so much. So, we will continue to work with a wide range of partners and stakeholders to provide the very best service provision that meets local people’s needs and continue to bid for funding so that you are not hit in the pocket in helping to fund essential services.
To do this we aim to:
- Continue providing local Contact Centres in the four main town centres making it easier for people to access council services and information.
- Work collaboratively with both public and private sector partners to ensure projects and services are being delivered effectively and efficiently and provide value for money.
- Make it easier for local people to gain access to the information they require more readily or report issues affecting them by improving our online services.
- Continually review procedures and protocols to remove any unnecessary bureaucracy to streamline service provision.
- Generate new ways of income, so any increasing costs are not passed onto local residents, helping us to fund essential services.
